The DNS translates Internet domain and host names to IP addresses that are unique to your name. To have your Domain Name that you've purchased to be live to the internet you will need Doman Name Hosting. This is a separate service to Domain Name Purchasing. The DNS hosting points all to searchers to where you website and email inbox are located on the world wide web. If you do not have DNS set up, no one will find where your website is hosted or your email is hosted.
